Expand Your Creative Glass Palette by Sandblasting Designs Into Flashed Glass Using flashed glass gives the sandblast artisan the added pleasure of a bright, solid color to work with in combination with a secondary base color to enhance the detail of the design. Lambert’s glass is German mouthblown, full antique glass that is handcrafted by dipping a blown gather of glass into a colored glass. Flashed glass is excellent for sandblasting and engraving. See the basic steps below to discover how easy it is. 1. Apply resist to glass. Transfer design to resist, cut along lines using a stencil knife. Peel away the cut pieces where the glass will be frosted. 2. Place glass inside sandblast cabinet. Please note It is important to follow all safety instructions from the manufacturer. Blast by moving the nozzle back and forth evenly, starting at the top of the design and moving downward. 3. Remove remaining resist, clean the glass and display. Special order glass is available in SHEET SIZE ONLY. For UPS delivery the sheet will be cut as two pieces, approximately 18 x 24 each.

Now you can create gorgeous sandblasted art in your own home studio. This new sandblaster by Cyclone offers professional results, but at an affordable price. Small enough for a home workshop, but sturdy enough for repeated studio use. The Combination Sandblaster features both a pencil blaster and a spray gun blaster, you hold while sandblasting (see close-up image below). The pencil blaster is ideal for working with control in detailed areas and smaller projects. The spray gun blaster is excellent for blasting larger areas quickly.
